factory default the box, then follow the advice above.
if you are on mmds you will manually need to input the freq.

im with ntl in dublin its just not finding any channels keeps saying failed wen i try a manual search

Told you to read back you would have found this.
Scanning for channels.
MAKE SURE WHEN YOU ARE SCANNING NO SPLITTERS ARE CONNECTED
Auto Scan?. and at network [ok] put your provider in leave the channel search type alone set at network.
Press the green start search button? if you are on Virgin select N** or what ever provider you are using after that is should bring up a list
If you are on NTL Dublin select legacy top item on the list
You just need to be patient then and wait till the scan has completed then press the exit button and that it job done

i think it might be a tuner problem with the box, ok the box is flashed so thats ok then im going to auto search it gives me a list of 2 things to do choose my network which is set to ntl, then choose my channel search type which is set to network, i press start search and already excist comes up 7 times then it just says complete and returns me to the installation screen

hi please help me i am having a prob with a 750 it keeps saying download is not requsted i have read back and comm ports are same and useing null cabel any help please tanks

You say you are on Nthell dublin. Is it MMDS or straight cable. This is very important. MMDS will not autoscan.

ok when you select auto scan and ntl on top and network then press the GREEN BUTTON ONLY on the remote nothing else
you might need to do another factory default first then do above

Only trying to help.
The cable signal has to get into your house. if you haven't noticed an aerial on you roof then you must have straight cable, and if that's the case then you have a problem.

Turn the box off at the back, then press download then hit the switch at the back on again, it should start to load then.

You yourself should know whether your MMDS or Cable, if you have an ariel or square dish then you are MMDS, ask your neighbours if you can't be bothered, you are getting a lot of free time and help given to you by a couple of contributors so a little bit of courtesy and civility won't go amiss.
