I am absolutely new to P2P and found this forum of GREAT help, thanx dela for the little tutorial on emule, i downloaded it but cant get started. i connect to a server but what then? how do i get a listing of files or what is available for download. please forgive my ignorance but i have noticed thru the threads u guys are pretty tolerant towards newbies. Please help me out, I WANNA GET RID OF KAZAA....

Hi Kardi03, good on you for d/ling eMule!
You can use the search function in eMule but that isn't that great. Goto www.sharereactor.com or www.ed2klinks.com to get a listing of files to download. Once on the webpage find a movie or file that you want and click on the ed2k link. It will automatically add the file to download into your emule transfers window (Oh yeah, please have emule open before getting links). Just browse either one of these two sites to your hearts delight and get whatever you want!

Remember:::!! Emule is not as fast as Kazaa, initially, but will pick up in due time as you share more and more and your credit rating goes up! For tips on speeding up emule goto this thread that I submitted.

PS. Patience is the key to emule, you must be prepared to run emule days on end.
