I think it will be nice to have too. I hope they do release a controller with rumble cuz it makes shooting and fighting games more fun.

I was never that big on the rumble, but then again, I was never big into the fps games. However, now that I have Resistance, and I'm picking up Rainbow Six, I'm sure the rumble would kick ass.

Sony will make a rumble controller. Once they settle agreements, patents, and all this other legal BS. It'll happen sometime soon.

Yeah they already settled the major legal issue with immersion, so it's only a matter of time. issues developing it though could be battery life on wireless controllers and also the fact that it might throw off the motion sensing.

Ok heres the facts:
Sony are starting to develope the rumble controller
The rumble doesnt interfere with the SIXAXIS
The main problem is battery life
And yes they settled that thing with immersion quite a while ago

As far as I understand it, Sony settled their problem with Immersion, but Immersion failed to keep up their end of a contract with Microsoft, so the rumble feature is still in legal limbo, and could be indefinitely as long as Microsoft drags it out. That said, it is Sony's fault for putting themselves in that situation - NOT Microsoft's, they just seized a good business opportunity when it presented itself, and got the whole thing dealt with in a timely manner. Sony put up a fight and just found themselves deeper in it.
I don't see rumble happening for quite a while yet. And even then, games won't appear that support it for an even longer time, else Sony will be in even more hot water for building in support without licencing.

so sony must of been planning to have rumble on the pads since release right if gt:hd supports it then got sucked up into legal issues and sed it would interfere with the motion sensor?
it would definatly add to the gaming experience though i mean wot would
mgs1 have been without rumble and psycho mantis' telekinesis!
would also make the pads a bit heavier. doesn't feel right with them bieng so light
