i rebooted the system but the disc would not register. The little circle thing in the top right hand corner appeared, but nothing happened. I tried a normal DVD. same thing. game disc. same thing. CD. same thing. Whatever disc i put in my PS3 won't recognize the disc.
yeah i had the same problem everything works fine but it doesn't read any discs just send it back and get another one.

What happened? I keep the PS3 clean, I have never dropped or knocked it. It is in a cool ventilated area.

Anybody out there have the same problem? what was the solution?

This problem only happened after i downloaded the 1.82 firmware earlier that night.
