A way better and faster program that worked for me 100% was nero. Just pop in the 360 game and just click on backup dvd and it will make a temporary folder and will burn it and succeful! I have done over 45 backups of a backup and worked great and alot faster and simple.

What format does the game come in after its been ripped?
I heard it can come 001 002 003 etc files.
So let me know what formate you get with clonecd, nero, imgburn, everything.

here is what i do and its the best and easiest method i found
1. First you need the samsung drive that you can buy for ripping xbox games www.modchipfitters.com to see what i mean
2. Download Schtrom and use this to make an xtreme stealth copy
3. Once you have the backup using the above, use NME associator to covert the iso to NME format
4. Burn in imgburn at 2x using the .dvd file
By the way only use verbatim dl +r discs
so far 20 backups made and no coasters using this method.

I got the same advice from the the guy thats going to mod my XBOX360, but he only knew about using the drive in the XBOX360 you have, not about buying on off the net. I will mention that to him. Also you can get it off ebay. The chapest I found was about $40 for the drive and then what ever it cost to ship to your area code. I had to google it. Just put this in the search, Xbox 360 :: Parts & Repair :: Brand New Replacement Samsung MS25 Xbox 360 DVD Rom Drive. It should be about the 3rd one down. or you can but in your address bar, http://search.ebay.com/XBOX-REPAIR-PARTS...Q2dROMQ20DRIVE. That will bring it right up.

Using the drive in the xbox means you have to open the xbox when you want to rip a game using the samsung drive that connects to the pc is easier as you dont need to open it here is the link http://www.modchipfitters.com/index.php?...products_id=273
The one inside the console is not the same as this. They will even send you the software on the cd. This is the best way trust me i know, after 7 coasters i know ;)

But i thought schtrom didnt work for ripping a backup game onto pc?
What i want to do is make a backup of bakcup but just save the image on my computer instead of buring it straight away.

Thats no problem Schtrom can do it or you can use XBC (xbox backup creator) to do it. Its preference i use both at home and they work for me.
You need that external samsung drive though. Do you have it? its either that or opening the xbox which i dont like personally.

Simple solution, Use clonecd, but make sure delete image file after burn is not ticked. then just stop the process when its calling for a blank disc.
Use xdvdmulleter to verify the image is infact the correct region and is fully stealth compatable. If in doubt rerip from your original disks as im sure ripping a backup is deemed ilegal now.

Its not illegal if you own the game, making a backup is fine. If you download them and dont own them, then that is illegal and i dont advise it.

Yes, because when you rip a game it is an stealth xtreme iso and the xbox cannot recognise the format. When you convert it to the NME format the Xbox will be able to read it. It wont work any other way.
