this is probably a really stupid question but then I dont know what the answer is so hopefully someone does. When you run ps3 through the hdmi does the graphics change for every game you play or just high definition games. Rerouted ps3 through hdmi and there was no change in the graphics for resistance, fear, or oblivion.

if u have Component or HDMI it changes. If you play a ps2 game it will change it to 480p and a PS3 game, just look on the back of the game box and it will tell u what HD output it supports and it will change it. Also u can press Display on ur TV Remote and it should show u at what its running.

All PS3 games are High Definition I think. PS2 games get upscaled now thanks to the firmware update a while back. Check what resolution your TV can can output and what resolution the PS3 is set to broadcasting. The games you listed all can be played at 720p maximum.
