Some good features added there.
But im holding off as its nothing that essential yet, and

I wish that they would fix the protocol for the bluetooth and media server functions before they start adding new features. This may sound crazy but i want the simplest thing but sony has yet to give it to us and that is the ability to upload our own avatar to be associated with the psn account. BTW bopran what do u think u might have found with firmware 1.82? But i thought they already made 1080p 24hz? Im pretty sure its already an option in the settings menu.

I was right check the bluray and dvd settings and sure enough its already there. That feature was released with 1.80. As far as avchd that was added at firmware 1.82. So this might be bs.

The 24Hz was there, in 1.80 there was only "Automatic" and "Off," IIRC. In 1.90 they added "On" to force displays to use it. I don't know much about it, but some TVs need that for some reason. I think my Samsung already used it before.

pretty cool update. Im in the US and im assuming it was available to update at midnight. I checked at 1am. Im liking my ps3 with every update. Just the fact that it can do more than just play games makes it appealing to have.

Is it me or is the ability to play back video (personal videos, trailers, etc.) while back at the "menu" a new thing? It's kinda cool since you can watch it in the background while you do stuff on the crossbar.
