ok i've tried to rake out my ps3 hard drive an way possible, but that blue screw just wont budge!! i even tried an electric screwdriver and still nothing. my ps3 is a 60GB version and i need to take it out because i tried to reinstall linux 5.0 on my ps3 using a sdtv. everything went well the first time i installed it but when i tried the second time it came up with an error message saying it couldnt find something and how it needed to reboot..but when it did it was just a black creen, i couldnt see anything so i held down the reset button (cuz no usb ports were working either so i couldnt even turn it on with my control pad)and still nothing...the green light was on but that was it..just total darkness..i really dnt know what to do so if anyone does i would really appreiciate it.

did you try holding the power "button" down until it beeped a second time.. don't know much about this but kboot was giving me trouble and it booted back to the sony cross menu thing after i held the "button" down for about 30 seconds.. i did end up reformatting the harddrive in my macbook.. but might be worth a try
