I have been using shrink and nero in my home computer for some time now. Is there any way to make a copy the nero software that I already have on the main pc and transfer it to my new laptop?

Let's just say that you have the TWO machines, and that they are connected via a home network. Have you set read and write "privileges" to the folders you wish to share?

IF the two machines are not connected via an ethernet etc, then save the files you want to a Flash Drive...(thumb drive, or removeable drive etc). These often cheap and time saving devises, will do the trick.

BAD NEWS... Thumb drives or flash drives(same thing) will give NO INDICATION when they fail. Methods to get back any info when they poop themselves can either be Expensive or time consuming.

Do not RELY on these external drives, and do proper backups of your files.

Actually I found a way to do it already. Thanks anyhow. However there maybe something you could help me with. I almost remember reading something about either installing Nero first or DVD shrink first. Seems there was a right way to do it and the wrong way didn't work. Can you offer any help here? I have Nero express installed now and when I'm in Shrink and try to select the burner as the target, it isn't there as one of the options. I'm thinking I should remove shrink and reinstall it. Does that make sence?

Are you saying under Target Device in the Backup window that no drives are showing under the Burn with Nero selection? Nero is the default burner software when you install Shrink. If you want something else, you need to set it in the burn selections in the Backup window. The order of installation shouldn't effect anything. Check the Target Device settings in the Backup window to insure Burn With Nero is selected. If you have more than one burner, select the one you want to use and remember which it is. If you have only one burner, it is selected along with Nero by default. If you've changed the settings, they have to be changed back, unless you delete and reinstall Shrink. I'd check the settings first. It's no big deal to reinstall the program. If it's acting up and the settings aren't the problem, give the reinstallation a shot.
