PAL NTSC or JAP PS3 ????

Hi Guys & Gals

Thinking about about buying a PS3 and was wondering which version I should buy. I live in the UK and the PAL version is around £350-400 to buy. I heard that the PAL version isnt region free like the other two and was wondering if someone could list the pros and cons of each region PS3. I would say I would use it mostly for games and online gaming, not so much for the blue ray dvd's. Hope some of you can help me out.

All PS3's are region free for gaming - not for online play though.

There all the same except the JAP PS3 has built in PS2 playback so it has more compatibility with PS2 games but theres no point cause they have region restrictions on PS2 and DVD's so might as well get a UK PS3

it all depends.the best choice is to go for your region.better safe than sorry.games are region free but i heard movies arent!
