anybody have a program that doesnt use to much cpu usage after i use dvd fab decrypter then burn with shrink it uses too much cpu up!! so is there any other programs out there to burn movies with other then nero and shrink that uses low cpu?

CloneDVD - not free but has a 21 day free trial.
AnyDVD and CloneDVD are a great combo.
Nero's Recode also is less cpu intensive then Shrink.

Are you getting successful results? What difference does 'too much cpu' make.

i notice as soon as i decrypt a movies then right after i use shrink my cpu goes up to 100% while shrink reads, is there any free programs out there

@djdyna--Stress may cause heat, but under normal circumstances even the cheapest Dells are built well enough not to overheat unless theres some kind of hardware failure.
If you think there is a problem, dont surf the internet or multitask while a program is running. Either that or get a better system and your problem wont seem so bad.

i have a dual core processor real good sysytem sorry asking anyone about this i was just looking for some other programs other then shrink and nero to burn movies thats all

You know, you shouldn't be using your computer while its ripping and transcoding, it can increase risk due to system resources that need to be accessed by the ripping software being in use. What I do is start the job, then go and eat lunch or something. Take a nap. etc. The point is, it doesn't matter what software you are going to be using, they all pretty much use up 100% of your cpu, that how they are designed, to use the maximum amount of resources avalible to them.

djdyna - programs such as DVD Shrink are very CPU intensive, they have to work very hard and will utilise as much CPU as they can eat. it's good to let computers work hard, just make sure they're fed well and kept well cooled.

djdyna---Im not going to get picky here, but I dont think you want a different BURNING program because burning only takes the file from your computer and puts it on a disc. That really doesnt overwork a system, and some programs let you use multiple burners at the same time. The CPU intensive part of the process is when Shrink or another transcode/encoder program is taking your 8GB file and turns it into a 4.3GB file to put on a DVD-5.
Ripping from a disc and burning to a disc is like moving data from one place to another, what the program does in between changes the data a bit and is what takes the longest and uses all the resources.

I hope you and the others don't mind if I repeat some of what's been said.
I've got a dual core PC with plenty of RAM. That said, I use RB/CCE for encoding, surf the web, and do other tasks all at the same time. I'm even guilty of surfing and messing around when burning DVD backups. I've not had any problems and the backups come out good. I've done the same while running Shrink. Shrink is a CPU hog, but will give up some of the resources when you're using other programs. Like Creaky and the others said, it doesn't hurt to use your PC, even when it's reading 100% CPU usage. What stresses a CPU is upping the voltage and increasing clock speeds over spec. They call that overclocking. Call me guilty, I even OC my system and it doesn't cause any problems as long as I don't overdo it. So, you can feel safe when you see the meter reading 100%.
Turn on your taskmanager and watch DVDCopy5, CloneDVD2, Recode2, and DVDFab Platinum. If you like encoding and don't mind spending some extra time doing a good backup, try Rebuilder. If I remember corrrectly, some of those don't peg 100%, at least not as much as Shrink. If that's the only reason for changing from Shrink though, you're wasting your time. As mentioned you're not hurting the PC and if you have enough system resources, you can still multitask while using Shrink. As for decryption programs, you're limited. RI4M (uses DVD Decrypter and DVD Shrink, with FixVTS built in), DVDFab HD Decrypter (and other DVDIdle programs), and Slysoft's AnyDVD are the most popular programs. There's others, but they're usually not as good or have fallen by the way.
Edit:
For those with a single core PC and limited system resources, I don't recommend multitasking while doing a DVD backup. It's these PCs you need to go watch TV or have a meal while waiting for the backup task to complete.
