Ok that is the last three questions I had today. Slow day on the forams so hopefully someone will feel like commenting.
I Upgraded to Nero 6 and don't know if it is causing me problems. Or the fact that I also put in a Pioneer A06 and took out my A04 that I used Nero 5.x with.
I searched but foundnothing specific. For the first 3 or 4 movies I tried to rip with DVD Shrink it would not get all the way through after the upgrade untill the third try. So now I wonder if I update to the lastest version of shrink if I will compound my intermitent errors futher? Ok hit me

Hmmm...the Nero upgrade shoud have nothing to do with the performance of DVD Shrink, have you updated to the latest firmware for your A06? The newest version of Nero works great for me...I'm using an LG GSA-4040

Hey Smoky

I have looked all over for a firmware for the Pioneer A06 and concluded that there is non, however if there is would you be so kind as to post the link. The drive is brandnew out of the box last week...........but I realize that updates are possible since manufacture as that was probebly 90 days ago at least.
There is some good news I just got a clean copy of "Born to be wild" and it plays on my DMR-E20 using CloneDVD.......................so I am leaning back toward blaming Nero, I am back to 551054 version I aslo updated to shrink 3beta 5 I am now trying to burn a reauthered DVD Shrink 2.xx version that has been sitting on the drive waiting for these problems to resolve. DVD Shrink seems to finish it's ripping now, I did nothing to resolve the problem I was having with it quiting.

Hey Smoky - what version of dvdshrink and nero have you had success with?

1. I had success with dvdshrink and recordnowmax demo. My demo period is over and i can't get dvdshrink to work with nero6.

thanx

mychucky - where did you get Nero 5? I've heard people getting better luck from Nero 5 over Nero 6 for backups using DVD Shrink. I can only find Nero 6 downloads!

Sorry I bought it a year ago and been using it without any problems until now.

If you search the ahead software site it can still be found there as an update 5.xxx.54 was the last version. Their updates are the whole program. I don't know how you would get a passwprd though. What kind of trouble were you having with 6?

ATTENTION: I am currently using CloneDVD to burn, it is Kindergarden simple and got all the backups done, 10 now with out any problems.
I have been ripping with DVDcrypter, DVDShrink latest version and CloneDVD even has an error checking routine that will ask for a better disk within the first 45 seconds if it does not like your media. It is the Boss.
