I have a PS3 running on an Infocus In72 projector.

Whenever I go into a game the projector adjusts itself causing a blank screen. This also happens when I quit a game to go back to the PS3 menus.

My question is this issue due to the ongoing scaling problem? I've been considering getting an amplified switch to stop the signal loss but I just want to see if anyone knows any details about the issues I'm having.

I've had this happen on my Hitachi projector. it only happens on the ps2 games i play though. it doesn't seem to affect the scaling aspect ratio.
also you might be able to help me with a problem i'm having, have you got your projector hooked up to hdmi? mine displays 720p but seems to have a problem with the ps3, xbox360 works fine though.

I haven't tried using HDMI but I think I'm gonna pick up a cable later this week to rule out the scaling issue.

From what I've read the PS3 still has issues with 720p.

I think I just resolved this issue by myself. I just downgraded the video to 720p and adjusted the projector. This seems to have cleared up the issue.

If it still adjusts with the psyclone switch I may throw it out and get an amplified switch.
