Hi,
I succesfully decrypted a DVD with DVD Decrypter. Then, I tried to compress the image file with DVD shrink and at the end an error message popped up : "DVD-VIDEO files reallocation failed" It says that I still can try to burn the video files in the temp folder.
But which program would allows me to burn those video_ts files and keep the dvd menu structure? I tried with nero but it doesnt look like the chapters structure would be preserve neither the menu.
Any suggestion of program for such purpose? (Even if its not a freeware)
Thanks for help!!

Try ripping the DVD using DVDFab HD decrypter (it's free), you can choose main or full movie, have have it create a VIDEO_TS folder or an ISO image that DVDshrink will recognize and open. Once DVDshrink opens the video files or ISO image, you can then proceed as you normally would with the backup process.
Get DVDFab HD here

Processing the Video_TS files through FixVTS is an aid to this particular problem. You should have done the burn. I've seen that message on a number of occasions and every burn using Nero has worked. The problem is usually from a minor structure error left from bypassing the copy protection. Decrypter and Shrink haven't been updated in the longest and by themselves are becoming obsolete for decryption. As john123 mentioned, the free DVDFab HD Decrypter has been doing a good job.

Thank for the replys guys, but I dont have the DVD disc anymore. I just kept the dvd video files from the shrink operation of the image .iso file. So I have to process from the video files.
I downloaded fix_vts but it looks like you have to open each file separately? Geez! I have like 50 files in the video_ts folder...Whats the trick? sorry i'm really newb.

I still have the .iso image file of the original DVD disc. Is there any other compression software than DVD shrink and more up to date I can use to compress the iso image? (A software that might now end up with the reallocation failure thing?)
Again thanks for your help and time.

The DVDCopy 5 is a transcoder. Does a good job and it's quick. It does the transcoding which you're currently doing with Shrink. Do you want to buy a retail transcoder or are you satisfied with what you have?
FixVTS has the option Full DVD if you'd opened it and looked. Drag a VOB onto the window and then click Full DVD and the program processes the whole Video_TS. I leave the In Place option unchecked so I'll have my original files for a backup. Now you know why it's a good idea to rip in the file mode instead of ISO. In case you missed it, ISO has the files locked in making it difficult to work with the files when needed. You can load the ISO in a drive emulator. Nero has one and there are freeware programs. Shrink can take the files and create ISO output for burning. In the future try keeping everything in the file mode til you start transcoding.
