okay i've had my ps3 for a month and a half now; and undoubtedly it's one of the best pieces of hardware out there. But ultimately it's all about the software which is RELATIVELY weak right now. also games being priced at $70 doesn't really help much either. i only have warhawk right now which i got for $45. i really doubt people want to dish out $80 (after taxes in canada ) for a game. titles like double agent are still at their release price. so what does sony want for everyone to wait around till march until their gaming library strengthens? thats considering there aren't any more delays either, i should be playing home in 2 days but it gets delyed.
so really the only thing left to say is WTF???

Heh, I still only have Resistance but Ive hired nearly every other game out at this stage. By the end of December however,providing none of them are delayed, there are between 7 and 14 games that are definitely worth buying, and I will if I can get the money together. The days of the "ps3 has no games" argument is over, by the end of this year people should start to see that no matter how much they wanted Sony to fail, they wont, not this Gen anyway.

Agreed, there are some very big games coming out over the next few months. I personally own all 3 systems, and it is exciting time to be a gamer, but I am most excited about my PS3.

As I own the system (PS3) I would realy like to know what are those 7-14 games coming out... as i would like to acctualy play the damn ps3...
Because AFAIK apart from Assasins Creed there are just no other games worth mentioning. Let alone buying....
Sorry to tell you, but for me the argument "there are no games" is preaty much reality. Even the multi platform games are mostly bad ports of originals.

how is there software weak it offers way more than my 360 and with the new year there gunna offer satalite tv on the ps3 the possibilities are endless just takes time and the ps3 was designed for entertainment for everyone offering a bit of something for everyone unlike the 360 wich is just streamed line.
All in due time gotta remember the ps3 wasnt actually spose to be release till 2008 or 9.

The problem is I want to use my PS3 for games only. For movies I have a HTPC which serves me very well, for music and movies. As versatile as PS3 is, it is weak in game department where it should be the strongest.
Also those games you listed are all pile of crap. Sorry but it seems my taste for games is too sophisticated I guess.
For example: Heavenly sord looks gorgeous, but the graphics are just one bit. It is 6 hours long and boring as hell... now thats a good game I guess.

Crack games? NO WAY, have you seen warfare? Its about online gaming, PS3 has to battle against 360s Online feauture, so while they get the HW and SW to work with HIGHEND games, they have to deal with the competition!

Well then the ps3 is obviously not for you. Next to no one would say that only 1-2 of those games are going to be any good, nobody dislikes that many different type of genre. In that list you posted there are 5 games Im after, all of which I am certain are going to be awesome, Killzone for one will be a great game just like the first one. I never understood why it was never as popular as other games, kinda like the opposite of HALO in that it is actually good but gets no credit (HALO to anyone who's impartial is obviously a very average game that is not worth the hype, but still a good game).
Cant wait for the new Time Crisis and SOCOM games as well, but its all in the eye of the beholder, whats good to some might not be for others. The question is, does any of the competition offer anything that does interest you?

A HTPC and a high end gaming rig are very different. You do not need a killer graphic card nor a killer processor for HTPC, but you need both for gaming. Also i use my HTPC under the TV which makes it rather clumsy to use a keyboard and mouse for gaming.
Also I kinda don't like PC gaming due to hassle with drivers and the fact you just never can play games on max settings with a 6 months old PC.
All I want to say is that these new games are all highly polished in graphics, but very few are really fun to play.
But I too do wait for the new Time Crisis! Can't wait because that game is my cup of tea:D And it is PS3 exclusive for good! Go go!
I like the series... I like the light gun action!

p3 runs more creative wider range of game its not single streamed like my 360 i find its the same games over and over but if u like the same type of games than u got the wrong system playstation has always explored.
if your into all war type games maybe a 360 is up ur ally thats all i seem to see come out for my 360 not that i dont like them just thats really all there is, i know for n rpg ill trun to my ps3 though depends on what kinda games u like (killzone2 looks like pure sex)

As for the price being high
1.)They arent that much more expencive than their counterparts.
2.)They're on ->blueray disks<- 20 bucks a blank compared to like 50 cents a blank for dvd's used for the xbox360.

plp just stop complaining.. if don;t like your ps3 just throw it out then and get a 360..even better pm me and ill give you 100 bucks for it if you really don;t like it. ps3 has plenty of games, i got 5 of them and im pretty happy with them. specially NHL08. more Games will come and ps3 will be good for many years to come, not like the 360 which might need replacement in a few years.
