Ok I have 3.51 m33, and I just tested it with and iso and it works with a umd in the drive, but not without.
And, I have the 3.51 m33 update 7 in my game folder, i go to the eboot, start it, and it does the psp white screen thing, and then goes black....and a few seconds later says the game cannot be started (80020148)

put the m33-7 update in the GAME150 folder and go into recovery mode, then confiuration and set ur kernel to 1.50

ok I now have 3.51 m33-7
what do I do now?
my iso's don't load without a umd in the drive, isn't m33 supposed to have a no-umd loader? It says the game could not be started thing.
edit: nevermind, I found the recovery menu. I haven't been up with psp homebrew since 2.0, and I didn't read anywhere about what the recovery menu was or how to get to it, but I found a theme pack and in it was directions, and one of them was backing up everything and it told me how to get to recovery, it should work fine now since I went into configuration and changed it to sony's loader

No just go into recovery/configuration and where it seys UMD Mode just change it as M33 driver -NO UMD-).

thanks haasmon92, just upgraded to it. And there is suposed to be this new ability to play PSX games directly. Can someone guide me to be able to do this?

the new ability is support for downloaded PSX games with a PS3. Go to http://pspiso.com and become a member and scrool down to a thread called "PSX EBOOT Section" and search thru till u fin your PSX game. Once its downloaded, open up the folder and u'll see two files: EBOOT.PBP and KEYS.BIN creat a folder in the GAME (NOT GAME150) section of you mem stick and put the eboot and the keys files in there. Go to the GAME tab on your PSP then go to memory stick and run the game from there...3.52 M33 uses the hacked Offical Sony PSX emulator so u can play any PSX game (u dont even need a PS3) and it's 100% full speed PSOne emulation for EVERY PSX GAME...how bad@$$ is that!? Enjoy and good luck! One more thing, in recovery mode make sure your kernel is set to 1.50 (to get into recovery mode turn off the PSP fully and hold down the R Trigger upon starting up then go to configuration and u'll find the Kernel settings).

psp1515 OE and M33 are not made by the same ppl that is with it's not the same recovery. you could play PSX games in OE before m33.
xerofyre and haasmon92 edit your post next time.
harv4206 hex did not release the custom firmware.

I have been knowing ever since M33 came out that they were'nt made by the same person. Dark_AleX made the OE CFW( which he is now retired), and Some Russian people make the M33 CFW. But I was mistaken and I thought M33 could play them without being converted. So that is what I was getting at. And just to remind us none of us are Mods...

Hi noob here,
I just need some help to upgrade to the new wininstaller 3.51 m33
The last time upgrade is using the 3.03 OE-C Winstaller until now.
so how do i upgrade to the new one. Can anyone guide me thru??

Wouldn't you want to update to the newer one which is 3.52 M33? Coz if yes you just download the file and it has a readme file which says download the 1.5 official sony update and the 3.52 official sony update. It says in the readme that you need to change the file names of the eboot for 3.52 and 1.5. just follow the read me and you wont go wrong.
