I HAVE DOWNLOADED THREE MOVIES USING BITTORRENT, WHEN I TRY TO OPEN THE FILES ON ANY OF THESE MOVIES, I GET A ERROR, CANNOT FIND SPECIFIED FILE. I HAVE TRIED THE SAME USING DVD DECRYPTER, I GET FILE NOT FOUND'
I TRIED DVD FAB, WILL NOT OPEN THERE EITHER.
THE MOVIES DO PLAY ON MY WINDOWS MEDIA PLAYER AND THEY LOOK GOOD.
THE MOVIE FILES IS IN MY DOCUMENTS UNDER BITTORRENT.
I HAVE USED ALL THESE THE LAST FEW DAYS WITH OTHER MOVIES AND THEY WORKED FINE, NOW THERE IS A PROBLEM.
I NEED HELP, THANKS IN ADVANCE
DVD Shrink can open a standard DVD folder or an ISO image (of a DVD).
If the file is an iso it's possible that it is a CD image - and there certainly would be a problem.
A typical DVD iso might be 4GB while a CD would be 700MB.
So I think the first thing is to find out exactly what format download you have and please turn 'Caps Lock' off.
Torrent files are usually downloaded in AVI format. Those need conversion to DVD format. For that I use ConvertXtoDVD from VSO or NeroVision from the Nero suite. There are other programs that can be used, but I've had good results with these. The two programs mentioned will do the whole job and burn to DVD. Hopefully fixing the problem is just a matter of using the right software. You can open the files and look at whats there to see if it's DVD or not. A DVD has a folder with Video_TS and possibly Audio_TS. Sound and video is in the Video_TS folder. To date I've seen nothing in an Audio_TS folder. In the Video_TS folder there are IFO, BUP, and VOB files that make up the video.
Hi guys, sorry about the caps, off now. I got everything up and running, thank you all for the advice. Burnt my first movie last night. I do have one question'' I downloaded one old movie, i watched the complete movie on my windows Media player to make sure i had beginning to end. But when i decoded it and burnt it, i only got half the movie, and it jumps back to start. Is there anything i can do here, or just delete it and try downloading another movie the same.
Try converting the files and save the DVD files to hard drive. Open the files and process with FixVTS. Then burn it and see if it works. FixVTS can fix minor structural errors. In this case, with AVI files, I'm not sure, but it's worth a try if you have the time.
Hello Again, i tried using Fixvts, but didn't have any luck, i downloaded another of the same movie, and i got it burnt this time. Thankyou for your support, and thankyou to everyone else that replied to my post. MIKE
You're welcome. You beat me to the next step. LOL You did what I was going to suggest. Files can sometimes get corrupted during download and getting a good set cures the problem. Glad to see you got it going.
