I lost my receipt for my PS3 and all other proof of purchase. Can i get my ps3 replaced or fixed for free even though i have no reciept, (im in the uk).
Im sure that all consoles come with warranty for 1 year regardless of proof of purchase?

Sony will require a receipt if you want them to fix it for free. It doesn't even matter than PS3 is less than a year old which seems ridiculous to me. I've already been through it with a PS3 that died on me.

ebay, lol so you had to buy a new console too because you had no receipt?
I can fix it myself its only a corrupt hardrive but i need to buy the tools etc

Go back to the store you bought it from & get a duplicate reciept,they'll have records of what gets sold thru out the year.If you redgistered the console with sony UK you could request a date of purchase from them to get a replacement receipt from the store if you can't remember the day you bought it,tho if you remember the month the shop should be able to find the sale it'll just take a little finger tapping on their part

Or, if you bought it with a credit card, it will show proof in your record of purchases.

Getting a BRAND NEW Ps3 tomorrow, i didnt have a reciept i was right any item comes with a year manufactures warranty, just for the people who might have the same question as me the answer is yes.
Sad my original one has gone though.
