ok im thinking about buying a ps3 but i dont wanna spend money on games so im wondering do u need a special mod chip or somthing like the ps2 needed to play games? like for example if i download a game and put it on the HD and try to play it will it work?? or is it like a psp were you just get a custom firmware and install it ??

atm there is no news on any1 kind of custom firmware so it is not possible to play ps3 back ups, you will just have to pay the money for the games or wait until a firmware is released, keep an eye on this thread which will alert u when it becomes possible to play backups.
