is the ps2 emulator on the 80gb model region free? (im pretty sure this has been asked before but i cant find an answer)

does the ps3 do a good job upconverting standard dvds? (ive been told it only works for some movies)

I tried upconverting DVD's with it and it worked great. I used Spiderman 2 and it looked great.

PS3 games are region free, the PS2 games are not so they are region locked even when played on a PS3
