ps3 wont connect to the internet???

Ok guys, new ps3 and resistance, though ill give online a go, so i went to the network settings changed it to wireless and then picked my wireless router, which is a speedtouch one, then entered the wep key and when asked custom or easy settings i hit easy, took a few mins to load, then i had to click automatic for all sorts of settings and dont use for the proxy, after that it does a connection test and fails, at my m8s house he clicks the easy andit sets it all for him and goes straight to the connection test and passes, what am i oing wrong, or any sugestions thanks guys.


p.s I have trouble spelling so sorry for all the mistakes.

i have the exact same problem thats why i bought a cabel inet and put that in my ps3 to play online. I went crazy and tried everything to go online wireless. With my wii the wireless works great so i know it has nothing to do with " LOW CONNECTION"
