Ive read here about various speeds ppl have with eMule but ya cant really trust the "speedometer" in eMule cuz Ive studied it and come to the conclusion that it very often shows a much higher value than the speed actually are.
If one uses a third-party bandwithmeter to see the speed it often shows a totally different value than eMule does....
For example I(ve had downloads which eMule says the speed is 180-200 kB/s when it really is 30 kB/S...
And sometimes it went up to 7-800 kB/s and over which is not possible with my connection and it was really 15 kB/s...
Does any1 know the reason why eMule show "false" (too high) speeds ?

Now i have no idea what exactly is happening to you, but here is the real story behind the incorrect speed. In eMule, in some versions, if u select multiple files and pause them, they dont seem to pause at all, therefore is you resume the files the bandwidth screams up casue eMule realises, holy shit where did all this come from?? What are you using to record the speed? Please dont ay netlimiter cause that often throws out the wrong speed and is well known for it!

Hi !
Yeah, Ive used DU Meter (http://www.dumeter.com/) and also the bandwith-meter in Sygate Firewall but mostly DU Meter since it seems quite efficient and is quite small.. ;)

This isn't precisely related to this thread, but I have noticed that when I use peerguardian, my NetPerSec upload meter shows jumps to like 10 mbit/s sporadically (maybe when it blocks a connection, I don't know.)

Good thought man, never thought of that! I used Netlimiter for some stuff before and i often noticed activity on peerguardian but thats odd concidering peerguardian only blocks ips doesnt actually use the net does it?

Im not using Peer Guardian cuz I block the Ips with my Sygate and PG seems unstable like hell...
Was more like a comment on the values ppl say they download in eMule...
Ya cant trust the values in eMule cuz it mostly shows wrong speed even if it sometimes shows more accurate...

Yeah, I was thinking maybe it is an old bug that has been fixed and the mod Im using is based on an older version...
