does anyone know when sony is going to be releasing the new firmware to apparently fix the bugs of FW2.00???

They made it official yesterday (well at least that's when I saw it) that 2.01 is in the progress of being developed. New features: Fixes all bugs of the 2.00 Update.

For the record, I didn't have any problems with the 2.0 upgrade. I was playing everything online (as I have been since I beat all the single-player portions of my games lol) without any problems.
But, I'm sure there were or else there wouldn't have been an update so quick.
Latest AnyDVD to rip > VOBB to blank the unwanted on a DVD > Shrink to compress > ImgBurn to burn = Never starting a thread asking how to backup a movie

I just wish they would add the ability to access muiltiple task in the XMB.. In game XMB access.. Also say being able to play my music while doing other things besides playing games, like say earlier I was listening to music on on my PS3 using media server and I accessed themes to change to change it and my music cut off... Any know heard anything from Sony about XMB access abilities??

2.01 has fixed all of the issues I had with 2.0, the main one being the information board thing which was causing all the freezing etc that people were having. I dont have an HDTV so I cant verify whether or not any of the up converting problems with PS2 games has been fixed of not though, but the logout problem that was mentioned earlier was to do with server overload (people downloading the update) and should have stopped a few days ago.

They'll be working on in-game XMB, but I would say they are struggling to get it working properly. Not saying its not possible, but I wouldn't hold my breath.
EDIT: 2.01 is purely bug fixes DIVX support hasnt been updated yet. Also, Im really starting to get annoyed with downloading updates that are 118mb, thats using up a lot of my bandwidth cap every month just to add features the system should already have by now.
