Let me first tell you my process so you understand my situation.
I rip DVD's using DVDFab HD Decrypter 4, and then use DVD Shrink to backup the DVD's then use ImgBurn to burn to a DVD-R.
My problem has only come up with the following titles:
The Condemned
Daddy's Little Girls
Both of these are Lionsgate Films, so I have a feeling it may have something to do with it.
For The Condemned: When I load to DVD Shrink to Backup, the compression settings are on automatic, and after loading it puts compression at 98.9%, using up 6,444 MB, so obviously I cannot put this on a DVD-R. The audio tracks are only 8, 3, and 3 MB a piece, so I cannot remove any of them to make space.
For Daddy's Little Girls: It also loads to 98.9% compression giving me 5,732 MB.
My problems are not related to those, mine has only to do with compression, I have concluded it is not DVDFAB HD, it is DVD Shrink. I was able to use CloneDVD and it worked. If I bought CloneDVD would I have to buy AnyDVD? I mean do the two work seperately or do you kind of need one for the other. Also is there any free way to burn these DVDs, I'd rather not spend $39 to burn one DVD when my free set-up does every movie other than this one (Condemned). Thanks for any help.
If you have Nero Recode you could try it, or if you have the time, you could try DVD-RB for free. Nero isn't free, but it is typically bundled with the rest of their fluff and works much like DVD Shrink. DVD Rebuilder rebuilds your movie from the ground up and takes several hours to backup, but the end result is unmatched in quality.
