heyo folks, was just wondering, what software/emulators work with the current ps3 linux os'. Im in the process of attaining a ps3 and was curious as how the software scene is. Thanks Alot

I'm pretty sure that it acts just like a regular Linux Computer! I know that StreamMyGame is making a software for linux where you can stream a PC game from one computer to another! They said that it would even work on the PS3!

Snes9x and FCE ultra. There are also bittorrent applications. Try google.

so which version of linux would you senior members recomend for such things as bittorrent and snes and such, and another question. If i install linux on my ps3, will i still be able to access the XMB?

I would go with Ubuntu for the PS3! I have Ubuntu on PC's and it's a really great OS! I've played emulators on it and it works just fine! I haven't however tried it on the PS3, but I'm sure that it will work just fine!

And yes, you will still be able to get to the XMB! When at a certain screen, you can type in boot-game-os, and that will take you from Linux to the XMB! Then when you power on the system again, it will go to the XMB, and you can go to Linux by going to Other OS in the Settings Menu!

I had YDL and I'm in the process of switching to Ubuntu.

I was the one that put the tutorial on here for YDL! I switched though over to Ubuntu, because it does support the WiFi on the PS3!
