I was wondering if anyone could help! Iv been tryin to set up my PS3 to play through my surround speakers. Im currently using an HDMI cable that connects direct to my TV which means i automatically bypass my speakers! I could use the standard scart lead to get the sound but would lose the HD picture. Is there any HDMI cables with an AV outlet connected to it that I could get hold of? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

what kind of input does your surround take?....i have an hdmi cable running to my tv but under the sound settings on the ps3 i've actually set to use the optical output for the audio that runs to my surround sound.

hope that helps... but thats where you set it... go into your sound settings and you can set what the output is

I have the video hooked up through HDMI while using the supplied AV cables for sound. I just hooked the AV cables into my stereo and went on the PS3 and set the Audio Output settings to AV. Go to Audio/Sound settings near the bottom of the settings menu, and change the setting on audio output.
