Starview: The Box - Channels Missing (Channel Dump File Method)

Hi Guys Grateful if someone could help me. I have a friends TheBox which isnt updating. I flashed it, scanned in channels, found 184 channels, set emu to on but when it goes to update it stays at o%. I also have The Box which was working fine but i forgot to turn it off when i reset factory settings on my friends one and now i have the same problem. Does anyone know what i should do.

menu 1570 press ok on set autodefault key exit to premium channel and it should kick in,also please use the search facility at the top of the page as this has been answered on numerous occasions

Menu, 1570 into Cas System and press set default key and exit all the way out to Sky Sports and it should be Okay, don't understand the second part of your question, be a bit more explicit.

Nope when i put on sky sports the screen stays blank and all the other channels stay at 0% update. What i meant was that when i was resetting the factory menu on my friends box before i scanned in channels i forgot to turn off my box and so i reset mine to factory settings aswell but now mine wont update either but it was working perfect before i reset it

Recheck that you have the main feed going into the cable input and all your connections are secure and correct, and of course that the EMU is turned to ON.

yep everything in securly. i reset it again, scanned in stations, turned emu on and set default key but still same thing!!

It's got to be something simple if yours was working earlier, what firmware have you on the box and are you getting any channels at all.

I was watching my starview this morning at 6am. It scrambled all channels about every 5 mins over the hour until I switched it off at 7am. I just put it onto SLY sports and it came back...anyone notice this too.

Hey there can anyone help me . I download the channel dump file and the program needed to import the channel dump . I manage to do that successfully but when i put my box back on the tv the box has just reset and i need to re start everything again and there is no order or anything from the channel nothing different . What am i not doing right ? Thanks Kenny

Factory reset then when you put the CDF from your PC to your box make sure you press download instead of upload.

Hi Hitech,
I seem to be having the same problem as Kendohawk.
i have reset factory settings and downloaded the channel dump file fine. as soon as the box powers back on again all the channels are gone again and after i rescan the channels are all messed up.
Any ideas

PEOPLE IN THE C***** AREA PLEASE BE AWARE THAT THERE ARE 2 TRANSPONDERS DOWN IN SOME AREAS WHICH MEANS THAT 12 CHANNELS ARE MISSING IF YOU FIND THIS LEAVE THEM ALONE THEY SHOULD COME BACK
