first emule download time question

Downloading my first file on emule which is about .5 Gbyte big. It has taken 24 hours so far and is about 3/4 done. Is this normal?? I thought it might go faster than this.

I checked everything on this link and made it the same. The only thing I didn't change is the port number. What should I change that to?? The file I was downloading has 300 sources, but I was so far down in the QR that it took forever to get to download data. I shared all my big files and released the file I was downloading as soon as I could and it still was slow. Is there a file that is OK to download that I could use as a test??
