Is there any another software that allow you to select and compress dvd-5 beside "Dvd Shrink". The reason i ask... it's coz i use Dvd Shrink but the ripping times take so long, apart from that i also use Dvd Decrypter but there is no GUI on the software to let you know whether you can fit a dvd-5.

i think you are a little confused.
dvd-5 by definition are single layer dvd which contain 4.7 gb (really 4.38) of data.

dvd-9 are dual layer dvd which contain 9.4 gb of data.

Therefore, with a DVD-5 there is no need to compress...only DVD-9 need compression. You dont need the gui, you can just look at the size of the files on the dvd in decrypter to know if you need compression, i.e. is it a DVD-5 or not.

How long does it take you to rip? What kind of dvd reader do you have.
