I was transferring my files to another computer to reinstall windows. I transferred about 4 full movies from one computer to another and all of the files I transferred will not open up in Shrink. The other ones I already had on the other computer open up fine. It always throws up an error about access to a memory location. I'm just wondering if anyone else has had this problem.

If you have WinRAR, it can open and extract folders from .ISO files

Did you move them over one at a time or all at once? You might have corrupted the files during the move. A long shot, try running them through FixVts & then see if they will open up in Dvd Shrink.

If they are in ISO format, that would be Ctrl-i.

After using WInrar and dragging and dropping it into Shrink, it says "Dvd shrink encountered and error and cannot continue" "Invalid data in file Z:\dvdvolume\1\video_ts\vts_01_0.vob"

Winrar should be able to extract the two folders with the files inside.

you can try and play the ISO file(movie) with VLC media player, to see if the data is corrupt.
it sounds like when you copyed the iso that vob file got corrupted somehow

Quote: Do the title VOB files playback?
If Winrar extracted the video folder, it would contain the video files (VTS_01_1.VOB etc).
These files should play using a media player like 'VLC'.
It's a variant on the suggestion from '300Bowler'
