eMule Complaint (eMule vs DC++)

eMule is kinda neat... the whole idea of breaking up file into bits, but I have some complaints...

One, it seems to take FOREVER to get one large file, this is partially because it's broken up into so many little files, that so much time is wasted on WAITING in queue just to download a measly chunk of the file and repeat (of course, you also have to wait till someone gets on line with that chunk you want). I also noticed that my d/l speed, while on the whole is decent (get anywhere from like 30~70 kB/sec) but for each individual piece, it's limited. I set my U/L limit to 12 kB and see that ppl d/l from me gets only like 4 or 5 kB/sec because like 5 ppl are d/l from me at the same time, I am assuming this is another factor why I get such low d/l speed when inspecting d/ls individually.

DC++ on the other hand, while it does lack the whole parsing the file up bit... is great if you get lucky. If you happen across someone like myself who is up 24/7 (or at least a lot) with a good connection, you end up with great d/l speed and you get the WHOLE file... I mean, the downside is if you get kicked off... but then someone else gets on w/ the same file and you just resume your progres...

Just some observations I've made about these two programs. I am going to try eMule some more before deciding if I want to swap back to DC++

(Oh, another feature of DC++ I like is the ability to browse some user's files, makes it easy to d/l mp3's etc.)
