Hey Guys I Have a PSP with Firmware 1.50 running 3.71 m33, and have had this on for 3 days
today was playin a backup of sonic rivals 2, during the game my psp froze and i had to turn if off by holding the power button up for a few seconds, i tried to turn it back on and the green light flashed on for about 1 second and then nothing
i put this down to a low battery so put it on charge for a few hours, since then i still experience the problem.
i have tried taking battery out and putting it back in etc and every now and then it will begin to load the xmb but then freeze again but the majority of the time the power light just flashes on
any ideas on how to rectify this?

does the green light blinks for a few seconds and then the psp shutsdown
or the green light stays on?
i think it's bricked and you need pandora's battery to recover your psp

no access to recovery menu and the green light comes on for 1 second then goes off, nothing happens on the screen, except the 3 times it began to load and then froze

Have you tried booting up with just the charger, no battery inserted. Your battery might be on its way out?

no i still get the same problem wen plugged into mains with no battery in, the green light comes one for 1 sec then goes off,
this is just annoying i cant believe it can brick 3 days after doin all the difficult stuff, by this theory people can pay someone to do it, then a week later when they got it home it will brick and the guy doin the job would deny any knowledge of it

Theres always a chance of bricking when messing with flash. Do you know anyone with custom firmware psp? If you do they could make battery and ms for you, unbrick your psp and then convert battery back to normal!

just an update,
housemate has a psp with 3.71 mm3-4 installed, he created pandoras battery and tried to use it on mine, unfortunately nothing happened, tested it on his own psp and it works perfect so we're guessing its a hardware failure

What actually happens when you try using the Pandora battery?

What type of Pandora Battery did you make?
Was it Universal Unbricker?
Is your PSP a SLIM or FAT?

have you tried it with the upms memory stick, much better in my opinion. Have a look, its the latest and unbricks fat and slim to 3.71m33, 3.52m33 or 1.5 its your choice. http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/580254 You can also make your pandora battery with it..

I doubt UPMS will make a difference. The Pandora Battery + Magic Memory Stick is evidently created properly if it is working on his friends PSP.
Sounds like a hardware problem to me.
