Whenever i open up DVD SHRINK, it creates a file in my temp INTERNET files 998 which calls out when i go on line. the properties of the 998 file are: res://F:\DVD Shrink\DVD Shrink 3.2.exe/#2/#998 i can open this up but just gibberish to me. what's going on? thanks.

Shrink shouldn't be phoning anywhere. Uninstall it, check for viruses or spyware to make sure your system is clean. Clean all reg entries associated with the uninstall of shrink (you can use a free app called ccleaner), once your system is clean install shrink using the file gotten here http://www.mrbass.org/dvdshrink/

Thank you, it still leaves a "cookie" or sorts in my temp INTERNET files [998] but doesn't hook up when i connect to the INTERNET. before i asked about this i had already ran Kaspersky Anti-Virus 6.0 and also spyware Doctor with a clean bill of health, and deleted cookies but leaving the 998 one, make an INTERNET connection and it was calling out. delete that file and things were normal again. i first noticed all this after trying to copy WAR, but can't be certain on that. thank you.

Would recommend DvdFab HD Decrypter or RipIt4Me for ripping in general nowadays.
