Actually, the program DVDShrink does not lose quality. It's quality stays the same but the video that has been shrunk certainly does suffer from deminished quality. The original question was worded strangely....:-)
You can opt out of compression in Shrink. This way, loss of quality is minimized. Right before you Shrink it, select the compression settings tab. Then, select no compression under video. Hope that helps

What u have stated may require a dvd-9 ( dual layer disc )

True, unless you are just ripping to your ipod. Then it is wise to select the no compression method.
