7thsinger:

Thanks for the link. I'll have to pow around with it later on.

Does it still have the option to autoburn with nero, dvd decrypter, and copytodvd?

The option to burn with DVD Decrypter is replaced by ImgBurn. It will still burn with nero, and CopytoDVD if it is installed. All discussed in the following thread:

Do you have any other burning software open? Any cd/DVD application?
It looks like some other program is using your burner. If you don't have any other window open, look in Windows Task messenger and see what applications are running. Maybe you closed it but it didn't completely terminate the process.

The only programs I have open are mozilla foxfire, imgburn, windows media player dvd shrink, and removable drive. I'm going to restart my computer and try it all over again.

Well, this time you will have the ISO saved to the Hard Disk, just load ImgBurn and do the burn.

Remove the serial numbers from your log.

That is an older Nero log.
What do you mean you had an IFO instead of an ISO?

That is your ISO right there, except it is a little too big. You should set the custom target in DVD Shrink and make your compilation 4300Mb.

Is your burner's firmware uo to date?
It just might not like the discs that you are using.
Is the burner's power supply secure? Check the USB cable.

Does the burner work with other kinds of discs? If nor, you can also try a DVD lens cleaner.

There's your problem right there, your computer is too ashamed to make copies of that movie...........It's telling you not to waste your time.

Just messing with ya...I could not resist.

On the serious side, from my limited knowledge, power calibration errors usually means there is something wrong with your media, even if its a brand you have used frequently, they all sometimes make bad spindles. As the above post suggested, try another brand of media or another spindle of the brand you are using.

good luck.

I_KNOW_WHO_KILLED_ME is not for me trust me. But since this was the first disc that I'm burning I sticking with it until I complete the task. But anyway I will give firmware a shot.

No firmware for the hp 940. There is firmware for the hp990. Can I use that one or not?

The firmware will only update if its designed for your drive. I would guess that if you tried to update your 940 with a 990 update, you would get an error message stating that it could not find the 990 drive.

Have you tried using a different brand of media?

It is possible that your HP drive is a rebadged LiteOn LH-18A1H and could be crossflashed if that was the case. Here is some info if you are interested.
