was round my friends last night as he bought a PS3 and we were going to hook it up and play all night.

instead we spent hours on our hands and knees trying just to get the thing to work on his TV.

he has an old (one of the first) flat panel mounted on the wall which has a tuner box for inputs (scart, red/white/yellow etc)made by Techwood.

would it be his TV just cant accept the signal put out by the PS3? we ended up going to another friends house to try it make sure the PS3 wasnt broke and it worked there!

Did you try hooking it up and holding the power button down for the second beep? That will make the PS3 auto-detect what type of TV output it should be running?

Jordogg is right. Your problem is most likely the output settings on the PS3. Also, if the TV is High Def, it may be non-HDCP compliant.
