I'm running Vista Home Premium on my new laptop, using Shrink 3.2 and Nero 7 essentials. When Shrink finishes making the Video and Audio TS files it does not automatically burn the output. I do have the Burn with Nero box checked.

On my desktop running XP home, Shrink 3.2 and Nero 6 Shrink does automatically burn.

What am I missing on the laptop? I'd like it to auto burn just to avoid the minor hassle of doing the Nero work manually.

Right click on the DVD Shrink and Nero Icon on your desktop and click the icon (s) click the compatibility tab and down in the Compatibility mode click the:
"Run this program in compatibility mode for" Windows XP.

Should help.

Nero 7 essentials is short on features and I don't believe it includes the Nero Burning Rom application needed for autoburning to work. You'll need to upgrade to the ultra version to get the autoburn feature to do its thing.

You can arranged to auto-burn with Imgburn instead once DVD Shrink has done its chore. The required executable files are found here.
