Hello Afterdawners, I have recently purchased an LG HT752TH home cinema kit, and i am trying to set it up so i can play PS3 audio through it.
I have a Sony bravia which is connected to the dvd player and everything works fine through HDMI, the PS3 is connected to the tv by HDMI also, and i now have an optical cable going from the PS3 to the dvd player, but this is the problem. I can't get any sound through the speakers of the home cinema kit.
I have tried to go through the remote and have accessed the fm/am radio player, an aux channel, the dvd channel and the usb channel but still no audio from the PS3. I'm stumped. I presumed that the audio would just come through as long as the speakers were turned on.
The settings on the PS3 audio are set to optical and all but 2 options are highlighted.
Any assistance/ comments would be much appreciated thanks.
Dude are you definatly sure that is the correct model number, ive looked several places and they all say it has no Fm/Am tuner and no Digital inputs or outputs.
It does say in on the specs page that there are no digital inputs or outputs, but what is the optical input on the back which i have an optical cable in? I thought that this carried the PS3 sound to the Dvd player.
It's ok, thanks for trying, although i have just sorted it 5 minutes ago. Seems like you have to check ALL boxes on the PS3 audio setup, although i did receive a message stating that the speakers may get damaged, but this setting seems to be ok for my set up. Thanks again.
