can some 1 explain step by step how to burn a dvd from the label to the cover to the copyright ect.i wanna make an exact replica of my dvds, covers, and all. some 1 please help. and do u know of any way of printing the dvd label on the dvd it self to look identical

Your best bet would be to take a trip to Taiwan or Hong Kong and learn from one of the many bootleggers there. They make copies that are so exact they even fool US Customs....

Come on guys he asked a real question I think. Buy yourself some Verbatim DVD DL +R blank DVDs Inkjet printable (if they make them). I assume your burner will burn dual layer discs. This is the only way to make an exact copy of the disc. I use ImgBurn for this task and AnyDVD to strip the DRMs. To get the outside cover of the DVD case done, scan the one you bought and print it and insert it in the new blank DVD case you bought. Don't stick paper labels on DVDs. You can come close to printing labels to match original with some printers-Epson comes to mind. I assume Verbatim makes a printable DL disc?? I don't know. It really might be cheaper to just buy another disc, as the two wits above pointed out. LMAO

Yes, that's right he did ask a real question. You are also right about the labels. From my experience it is never good to use labels as when the disc heats up from being inside the player, the label contracts and over time slightly warps the disc which can be enough to corrupt the data.
There are a few companies that make dual layer DVD's (DVD+R DL) that are inkjet printable. I have purchased spindles of Verbatim and Ritek DVD+R DL discs that have an inkjet printable surface.
In regards to the cover scanning and printing, Nero has a great cover designer application built in... That's what I use anyway. :-D

Agree. Big No No to attempt and use any stick on label. So, don't do that. You'll have a pixelated copy in no time going that route.
As far as printing the cover art...Ryu is correct on that one. Nero has a pretty nice cover design operation. Try that.
What still throws me (and the reason for my initial response) is this statement by the OP.

Hi :)
from my understanding
it's not against the law to break the encryptions put on to a disc, this is put on the disc by the producers of the disc (the record company) to try and stop you copying it.
however once you have cracked the encryption the disc will not be as original (so therefore defeating the original objective)
it's the copyright that is the reall killer...even after making the new disc the copyright stays as per quo.
it's the content off the disc that is copyrighted ie. the film....audio etc. not the disc itself...so if you copy on to your disc (which you own) the content is not yours which is still subject to copyright.

Ahhh... 7thsinger & ZoSoIV, I see what you mean now. The way the OP worded his query sounded like he wanted to back-up everything including the copyright. I read it differently though. I am used to "reading between the lines" here at Afterdawn because I believe that the people that ask for help are often not so knowledgeable about the topic at hand. Which is why they are asking for help in the first place. I read that he wanted an exact 1:1 copy but wanted to know how to get through the copyright. Like garmoon said you could use AnyDVD to crack the encryption.

Yes, you are correct there. The only problem is that they press the discs from a machine, much like the DVD manufacturers do... Which probably isn't a viable option for a home user.

Yeah, it still looks (to me) like he/she wants a 1:1 including, but not limited to, the copyright. It seems as if OP wants to make a press identical Dvd from storebought.
Or maybe i'm still reading it not quite right.

I might be a paranoid, but the OP looked to me like he wanted a copy that would fool someone and that's why I suggested Taiwan. I knew a burned copy wouldn't look anything like a pressed copy. And the best inkjet label can't hold a candle to screen printing, hence my suggestion he outsource...

go to cdcovers.cc to get the cover pic. dvd label pic. and sometimes insert pics.
