Using PC monitor for PS3

OK another problem i have,

I just recently found out about the AV adaptor included in the PS3 package and since my PC has a slot for it at the back ... sould i connect it and somehow use my PC monitor for PS3 gaming ?

Yes. Actually if you current monitor has a DVI in connection. You can purchase a HDMI to DVI cable and do it that way.

Sweet thanx, but to save me money and time, how to i set this up and like what software would i need to use to do it via the EUro AV adaptor tht came with tha PS3 and htat fits in my PC?

Wait euro av adaptor? Do you mean a scart cable? If so that wont work.

Yeah i mean the Euro AV adaptor,the one that comes with the PS3, the thing connected to the nintendo in the picture here thats what i want to use, not any cable. See im trying to connect it directly into my PS to use with my PS3.

I'm still confused as to what you're trying to do but the simplest way is to get the HDMI to DVI cable for 7 bucks. This AV adaptor of yours might give you lag in the picture and it might not get the screen to display properly. Plus, you might even lose some of the picture quality. Bottom Line, get the HDMI to DVI cable

Yeah that's a scart cable, I'm almost 100% sure that wont work, and beside that you wont get HD out of it, and its analog to boot.

Before we go any further what kind of monitor do you have? brand and a model number would be great, but if you can at the very least tell us some stuff about it, it would be much simpler and quicker.
