Hi I was installing the DMC4 required isntallation and there was a power surge and everything was shutdown. Now when I start the PS3 it would freeze at the "Sony Entertainment" and screen becomes pixelated.
Can someone help me?

Turn on the PS3 and hold the power button for 5 seconds until the PS3 beeps again. That might work.

I'm always scared of that when I'm doing updates (not just the PS3 but also the PC). I wish there was always a battery backup source, on everything, just to avoid those types of situations.

But yeah try that "force quit/restart."

I've tried holding the Power button down for reset but it still have the same problem. I think it may be the firmwire because when I tried to play DMC4 it asked me to update in order to play. Could that be it? If so how can I fix it?
