Alright, recently got a PS3 80Gig. I got 2 questions.

First, can I copy my ps2 disk straigh on the HD and play from there.

Second. How do I load a Ps2 Backup on my PS3. ( Drilling a hole in my Ps3 is seriously not an option.) Isnt there just a way to hook up the PS3 to my PC, get a nifty lil software that smack's the PS3 so it doesnt see the secure stuff then start's the game or something ?

No, unfortunately not. The only way to play PS2 backups on the PS3 currently is to do the swap magic method using the switch. The guide for that is in the stickies.

oh yeah, and I wanted to ask, is there a way to straigh up back up a PS3 game on my PS3 hard drive? ( like if I rent a game and just copy it to the hard drive? i mean, 80 G... gotta be enough room for atleast 1 game, right? )

Oh you can put the ISO on there using the SAK and Linux, you just can't play the game off the HDD yet, or PS3 backups at all for that matter.
