So I was just wondering before i got this movie if there is any problems burning it.

Also I was wondering If it could be backed up solely with DvdFab and DvdShrink?

Thanks a bunch

I thought we had a thread on it; anyways, all it'll need, as you say, is DVD Shrink or maybe DVDFab then Shrink, it won't be anymore troublesome than that

I processed my copy of this title using CloneDVD and AnyDVD. I didn't have any problems and I have yet to watch the film. I usually use DVDShrink but I felt lazy using it. Here's the log:

Total size: 3581578 sectors (6995 MBytes)

Video DVD (or CD) label: NOC0NNW1
Media is CSS protected!
Video Standard: NTSC
Media is locked to region(s): 1!

RCE protection not found.
Found & removed structural copy protection!
Found & removed invalid cell pieces!
Found & removed bogus title set(s)!
Changed firstplay: Jump directly to TitleMenu!
UDF filesystem patched!
Autorun not found on Video DVD.
Found & removed 9 potential bad sector protections!

^^ From that AnyDVD log, it doesn't seem like anything that should give people problems. Shrink probably won't be able to handle this by its lonesome, but it seems easy.

I picked up a boatload of movies from the store on my way to work. I'll be busy when I get home lol.

So did RipIt4Me.

DvdFab HD Decrypter got it just fine. No problems.

Probably could've just done it with Shrink.

There's some protection (not much) on this one that the older rippers cannot handle.

Shrink could not handle it alone. I had to enable anydvd and no problem for Main Movie only after that.

Mr.Pink consider using DVD Rebuilder instead of DL media and save your money, you're going to need it to pay for gasoline lol

Dvd shrink only gave me a CRC error during the intitial quick analyzation-due to encryption and not damage.

Main movie only,25% or so compression,AEC Max Sharpness = perfect playing backup!

Gas shot up 25 cents a gal over my way! I guess the oil companies gotta keep making their billions of $$ in profits this year!

That is true! All the times I've used rebuilder the end product has been great.

Not to stray off topic, but rumors abound here in NYC say that gas prices will come very close to, if not eclipse $4 a gallon. Awesome!

Where I live gas prices are about $3.49 and I didn't have problems with this movie. I used Clonedvd but next time I'll use DVDShrink.

$3.09 here in Louisana. Will fill up today-'cause it's going way up soon. And can someone explain why diesel is $3.64 and is the least refined product of a barrel of oil?

If Mr. Pink can afford the DL discs for all his burns, then I doubt he is worried about the cost of gasoline! LMAO

Actually the price of gas is helping Louisiana as a state. We have a state surplus of 1 Billion $ this year from royalites on oil. And the greedy legislature is now about to vulturize it for their own personal pet gains.

Zoso

I'll stick with the stuff I use now and use DLs on the good movies only, like I have been doing. With my new upconverting DVD player, the movie only burns, look pretty damn good on my LCD. Most of the burns usually come out as 100% no compression anyway. I surely don't need to learn how to use another newest thing. The seldom used programs I've got, I use them once in a while just to refresh my memory of them.

The refinery can basically dial in what they want crude oil to come out as. So, what would have been diesel can be turned into more gasoline in the catalytic cracker, reducing output of diesel, and thus giving them their "justification" that there isn't as much to go around, so they charge more per unit. Basically, long chains can be broken, short chains can be joined, and straight chains can be branched, so what would have been maybe 25% gasoline can be turned into more like 75%.

At least that is how I understand it. Interesting stuff if you want to read, the ability to do all of that was a big factor in the allies winning WWII, as Germany wasn't able to use oil to its full potential. ;)

1) Diesel 2 is just plain home heating oil with a road tax on it ( in essence you could use home heating oil in your diesel burner, but the government frowns on it because of non payment of road taxes )
2) WWII Germany did not have great supplies of crude oil to work with and were not up to mass production of their solid coal to liquid conversion projects yet.
