dvd shrink will not open my folders from fabdecrypter

I have this problem and its just been frustrating the hell out of me. So I got these 2 dvds that I would like to back up yesterday. I tried using dvd shrink to back them up and it didn?t work??.. I didn?t think this was much of a problem I thought I would just use dvd fab decryter to copy the dvd?s and then i could use dvd dvdshrink to open the dvd file that fab decryter made. So I used dvd fab decrypter to copy the dvds to my hard drive and it worked fine.


But when I tried to open the dvd folders that fab decrypter made with dvd shrink it didn?t work.



I tried opening one of the dvd folders with dvd shrink and after dvd shrink analyzed about 14% of the folder it just shut off. Dvd shrink just shut off and I don?t mean froze or anything it just shut off. I restarted dvd shrink again thinking it was a fluke but it shut off again after 14%.

I tried to open the other dvd folder that dvd fab decrypter made with dvd shrink and it this sign popped up

"dvd shrink encountered an error and cannot continue
invalid data in file c;dvd\video ts\vts_o1_1.vob"




This is so frustrating because I saw both dvds from the folders that fab decrypter made on my computer and they worked perfectly on my computer. Its just that dvd shrink will not open them. The folders that fab decryter made are too big to put on a dvd I always used to use dvd shrink to just take the main movie and put that on a dvd. But as things stand now these dvds are stuck on my computer.

Can some one please tell me how to get dvd shrink to open these foldsers. Its just so frustrating

hmmm, that's a strange one; what movies are they and what mode did you use ie full disc or main movie mode (in DVDFab); and is Fab up to date, latest version is 4.1.0.2

well i have an older version of fabecryptor, it only allows you to copy full movie. i didn't upgrade because i heard that some of the newer versions don't work as well. but i dont think its from fab dsecrypter because i can see the dvd just fine on my computer from the fabdecrypter files its just that dvdshrink will not open them. also i used dvd ghost to open one of the dvds and the file worked fine on my computer too its just that dvdshrik will not open them.
And i really need it to to get the main movie and put it on dvd.

..then you need to update DVDFab. Your success is only as good as the encryptions that your particular old version of DVDFab is capable of; there's updates at least weekly, take it from me that the updates are good; you can always keep previous versions on your hard drive if you're worried that a newer version isn't up to snuff...
