Shrink Compilation DVD skips tracks

I made a compilation DVD of scenes from movies I have by using the reauthor mode in Shrink. It contains about 57 different scenes or tracks. The problem is when I play it back on my dvd player it gets to about scene 40 it skips to the last track.

If it plays ok on the PC, then it's probably a media problem.
Either burned at too high speed or on media that has a problem.
If you burn at 4x on known-to-be-reliable disks, like 'Verbatim', then you eliminate that as a source of the problem.

I burned on Verbatim (DVD+R), but I did burn at maximu (16x). I have two burners, so I re-burned with the 8x burner but at 2x speed and still have the same problem.
