Hi all,

last Sat i was playing WiiPlay and i turned it off using the wiimote's power button. The next morning, when i turned on the console (using the console's button) i was greeted with a black screen on my TV! It doesn't even ask you to press "A" to continue. My wiimotes can't seem to connect either (the 4 lights flash, then disappear. No indication which port it's connected to), but they can still turn on my wii. DVDs can still be inserted/ejected.

I've tried the solution from http://www.wiierror.com/wii-black-screen.php but it didn't help. If you look under "media", there's a video of "black screen, no connection" which is pretty much what i have.

Could someone throw me a bone on what might be wrong?
Thanks!

yeap, the console was still working fine the night before, nothing was changed. I've also tried unplugging and re-plugging the power/AV/sensor cables, but still greeted with black screen.

I got the same problem too but I still cannot solve it. I try to use other AV cable but it still no luck.

Actually, audio work and I heard I can click those icon on wii menu but the screen display Black all the time.

The problem cause after I played the game "House of dead 2/3" and then turned off my wii.

Actually, this is not solution but somehow my wii can display and play in my brother TV.

He is using Wii Component Cable with his LCD TV. When I borrowed his component cable back to my home and tested out my TUBE TV.

It work but It wont' work my RGB cable anymore.

Actually, I don't have any idea why it happened but at least I knew that wii component should fix this problem.

If anyone know how to fix RGB cable, please let me know

Thanks

Go to Wii settings then to screen then to TV resolution and make sure it is set to 480i then try the composite connection.

Don't know if this will make a difference but it might.
