I am not the greatest at this stuff but here it is.Ihave used nero or shrink in the past to copy dvds with great success but for some reason it stops half way through the burning process and wrecks the disc.I tried reinstalling the burner drivers but it is still the same...

Can you post the Nero log?
99% of all problems are between the computer and the chair.

well if your using lousy media make sure you have the most up to date firmware, check here http://forum.rpc1.org/dl_all.php and burn at 4x max.(next time buy Verbatim or Taiyo Yuden) you could try using imgburn instead of nero and its freeware. thats up to you to buy the pay programs yes it less steps and easier dvdfab platinum or clonedvd 2 + anydvd both have free trials to. use this thread for your best options backing up your DVDs
