I've been following textbook for modding the 360 and when i'm on the MTK vendor intro command my status is 0x7F, i turn on the 360 and back off multiple times and it never changes. I have tried both of my sata ports, which are on a pci card. any suggestions or help would be greatly appreciated

ok, same card i have. try using this video tutorial, its the one i used and had no problem with it at all. just make sure you check the key it dumps as occasionally it will be just 77777777777777777777777 or FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF. if it is, look in the backup folder it makes, the good key should be in there, then just cut and paste that key into the 'original' one it dumped and all will be good. link to video is:

I tried dosflash 16 and it just gives me bad command. So i tried using iPrep again and it flashed for a second from 0x7F to 0x80 but it just stays on 0x80.

Did you get your port number? Those 4 letters or numbers that you use in the command?

Call me crazy but how does not having crock clips affect the power supply? Did you think if you had them that it woudlnt cut the power. They are just used to ground the system. AND i have never used them before. lol
