Hey guy,

I have a single .vob file that is just a touch too large to burn to DVD. I am looking to shrink it by only a few megs so I can burn it as a data disk and copy it to my PS3.

Can DVD Shrink do this? I have played with it for a while and the program won't recognize the file. I just want to get the size of 4.64g to 4.35 so I can burn and transfer.

I also have an external drive I've been messing with but cannot transfer or create files larger than 3.99g's.

Any help or suggestion outside buying a dual layer burner would be great.

Like I said though I don't want to shrink it too much because it is an HD video.

I've never seen an HD VOB, so no help there.
The external drive is probably formatted FAT32 (4GB limit for one file) instead of NTFS.
If that's the case, then the drive can be converted to NTFS.

I don't even know if this is even going to work. But it's worth a shot. You can attempt to trim the VOB file using MPEG2Cut to upkeep its quality. Move the slider and use the open parenthesis to mark the beginning of the clip; close parenthesis to mark the end of the clip.
