Im glad youre out here...I have gotten YDL 6.0 installed, working mostly, and now Im stumped on how to get full functionality with Firefox and all the windows-favorite plugins like the media players, and specifically Java. Flash installed no problems, but I have followed the terrasoft instructions on installing it to the tee, and it wont finish the installation.
What would be the easiest way to get Java working on it, so I can play stuff like RuneScape on it?
Also, do not buy Logitech's bluetooth for PS3 keyboard/touchpad combo...it wont work through YDL 6 either.
The keyboard will work you just have to configure the bluetooth. I'm not sure though on how to do that with YDL. As a novice user I found Ubuntu much easier than YDL. I'm using YDL now but plan on switching back to ubuntu when the next build is released.
I actually fixed my own problem with Yellow Dog 6 and Java...had to go to IBM's website actually, and d/l the latest 32-bit version of GRE. this time, the instructions worked, and I now have java running inside firefox! Woot!
BobbyBlunt, is that your game name on PS3? Ive been playing alot of video-chat High Stakes poker lately - you should check out that game, its $10. Im waiting for next killer FPS to come out- tired of COD4.
